YouTube launches full-length shows in the UK
« on: November 19, 2009, 17:02 »
Full-length programmes from broadcasters including Channel 4 and BBC Worldwide are now available to YouTube users in the UK.

Video-hosting site YouTube has launched a new section showing full-length programmes from a number of content partners.

This follows on from last month's announcement that Channel 4 had signed a deal with YouTube to broadcast full-length programmes.

At launch, the section already includes almost 4,000 full-length shows from more than 60 partners including Channel 4, BBC Worldwide, ITN, FremantleMedia and Al Jazeera.

Programmes such as Peep Show, The Inbetweeners, Jamie At Home, Dead Ringers and He-Man will all be available.

It also has a further 1,000 clips from shows including Wallace and Gromit, The Mighty Boosh, Eastenders, QI and Mr Bean.
UK users will be able to access the programmes by clicking on the Shows tab on the YouTube homepage or going directly to youtube.com/shows.

All the programmes will be free.
