MP files motion against Google
« on: June 29, 2010, 22:55 »
A Tory MP has tabled an early day motion asking for parliament to speak out about Google's collection of Wi-Fi data.

Google raised the ire of many European countries and US states after it admitted its Street View photography car had collected personal data as it scanned Wi-Fi connections.

The Information Commissioner's Office hasn't taken action other than to ask the data be deleted, but the Metropolitan Police is investigating a complaint filed by a privacy group.
