It's a very good idea!   8-)  I have 14" of insulation in my loft.

Someone said the other day that too much loft insulation can lead to frozen and burst pipes.  :-\

You need to insulate the pipes and tanks to the same, or a higher level, as the loft.

Yes or as t'other one found out the boiler stops working cause of ice build up... nice - at least the landlord fixed it...
