Hi guys, long time I know. I won't post it here, but I've had a few health issues.

Now my problem. Mozilla's latest upgrade has cause major problems. It seems random as to which site will open or mostly it won't allow access.

It comes up with the untrusted page, and there is no way of getting around it. Michael ended up deleting it and installing Opera, I don't like it.

Has anyone else had this problem and knows how to fix it.

Good to hear from you.   

I haven't had the problem myself, so can't offer any advice really.  If you're getting the 'untrusted' notification, it sounds like a certificate issue, and I believe you do get the option to go ahead and allow the certificate, so that might be worth a try if you trust the site(s) you're trying to access.

A lot of sites that I have never had problems with, won't allow access. It doesn't give you the option to continue knowing and accepting the risk. I need to pay bills and such, but it refuses access at all.

Try looking through this:

Particularly: 

The file cert8.db in your profile folder may have become corrupted. Delete this file while Firefox is closed.

It then goes on to tell you how to do that.

Michael had a read as I'm useless with software and he said that it's similar, but not the right error.

I think that I'll end up taking to a computer store.

Is Sandra still around?

Have you actually tried some of the things suggested?  Something may still work, even if it's not quite the same error.

Is it just secure sites (those that begin with https:// in the address bar such as banking sites) or any site?  If it is just secure sites, try disabling your firewall and see if you can access them.  I had a similar problem with Google Chrome last year.  It was a conflict in my firewall.  I uninstalled it and now just use Windows Firewall (plus my router's built-in firewall) and I haven't had any problems since then.

Thanks for the advice, it worked!   

I feel a little worried about disabling my firewall, but I do Have Windows anyway.

I have another problem, my bottom task bar is on the top??

In Firefox?  Can you drag it and move it?

I don't understand what that means Simon.

I did get it back, as in reinstalling it, but after finding that my credit cards has been declined, I'm worried.

I'll try phoning them tonight, it's 10.00pm here, or wait till the morning.

Thanks Dave, but now it's back and won't allow some www sites as well.

This is what I get. 

www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it was signed using a signature algorithm that was disabled because that algorithm is not secure. (Error code: sec_error_cert_signature_algorithm_disabled)
