Getting rid of Plusnet
« on: June 07, 2023, 16:11 »
My plusnet ISP has rocketed in price from £23 a month to £35 a month.  How I wish I hadn't been lured in by their offer.  I plan to cancel it before the renewal date and it wouldn't bother me too much if I didn't have internet or phone in that apartment.  Does anyone know if a phone is mandatory in this day and age and is there a cheap and basic ISP available?

I guess it depends on what services are already plumbed in to the flat.  If there's always a BT phone line, maybe BT's basic package might suffice?

;D

But PlusNet have been part of BT for years!

I'd suggest ringing PlusNet and threaten to leave, then see what kind of deal they offer you.

We plan to sell the flat anyway Simon because of the double council tax on two properties that comes in next year.

Oh, really?  Not being one of the privileged with two properties, I wouldn't have known about that.  ;D

Yeah, there's quite a few of us peasants who have to make do with only one property.  ;D
