As far as I am aware there is no other way to start the recovery process than using a recovery CD, as you know Tiny have ceased trading and are now marketed by Time Computers about 4 miles from Sandra, why not ask her to pop down to Emit (Time's returns shop) and ask for a recovery CD.

The best answer is to format the drive and do a fresh install with you copy of XP

Thanks Brian.  I also think a fresh, clean install is the best option.  Now all I have to do is wait for her to make her mind up!  We could be a while...  ;) ;D ;D
