Pc which keeps giving a 40 second shut down warning
« on: August 11, 2003, 19:09 »
My Mother's PC, when going online, pops up a error saying something like "NT authorization system error" and gives you 40 seconds to save any work before it shuts down...theres nothing you can do to stop it!...

Details, XP , only thing installed recently was Freeserve kit. Been running fine for over a day and now its suddenly doing this.

Any help at all?, thanks

Hi Capone :welcome:

I don't think I've ever heard of anything like this before ???  An exact error message would be helpful here I think.

If you could tell us a little more about the PC: processor type and memory size could possibly help us solve the problem for you :)

Just 20 minutes ago I got the message Windows must restart as something or other has terminated unexpectadly. Solution for me was to go into services and make windows do nothing when that happened  ;D But now I've lost my right click functions, bahh
