BIOS Update
« on: August 18, 2003, 13:42 »
I am having a problem finding an updated BIOS for an Abit KT7 Raid mobo.
The manufacturers site dont seem to have an updates or much information about this board.
I have found a few forums which talk about this board but all the links for Bios updates are dead ones.
I found a site yesterday which promises to send a new Bios for any board but it doesnt mention anywhere that I can see whether it is free or if there is a charge.
Has anyone used them or know anything about them ?
It does have a nice little tool that is a free download called Bios Agent, this identifies the current bios, mobo information and cpu and ram and has a submit button to send this information to them so that they can send the updated bios back.
It sounds too good to be true so is it  ???

Thanks K.
The first one is the one we need the second link is for the KG7.
I never thought of looking on the USA site I was looking on the Taiwanese one thinking I would get it from the horses mouth so to speak  ;)
If anyone has used that esupport.com I would be interested in finding out as it sounds like they simplify the flashing procedure so that the person who will be doing it can do it by herself, plus it says it definately identifies that it is the correcy bios for it before it writes to the chip :doggie:
