Topic: Keyboard Problem

Hi guys yet another problem I need help with  

I am having a problem with my logitech itouch PS/2 keyboard. The " and @ keys are the wrong way round ie USA settings but I have set it to English (UK) and location UK in the region and language settings but it is still the same.  I dont think that Simon has been around to chnge the keys   but its definately stuck on the USA settings!

I have unistalled the drivers so that it has the basic keyboard functions and it made no differnence    I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers this afternoon and its still the same, I have now run out of ideas   I am on XP pro and am a blonde remember so please type slowly

Go to control panel, choose Regional and Language Options, click the Languages tab and then click the Details button.

The Default Input box should read English (United Kingdom) - United Kingdom

In the Installed Services list box below that, you should see an entry for Keyboard which should also be set to United Kingdom.

I can't think of any other settings which affect the keyboard in XP

Been there done that but it made no difference Adept  
I even told her to set it to USA and apply then reboot and set it as UK again and apply and reboot but whatever she does it seems as if its destined to stay as a USA one

try deleting the US one after you've set the default to UK

Have you ever tried to remove the keyboard option of "English-U.S.A." and keep the "English-U.K" alone, Bev?



Seems, Robo beats me to that suggestion.

It only gives that option on the initial installation of XP doesnt it Robo ?
Its not listed on mine in regional and languages. Maybe she left both in on installing XP

I left mine on US by accident   Should be simple enough even for a blonde (begins to run) to select Uk though

Right click on 'EN' in the toolbar, select Settings and choose from the dropdown. Remember to press apply after setting the default keyboard.

Another way of doing it is to (usually) press the LEFT SHIFT key and ALT which will switch between the installed keyboard drivers.
