Adding Ram
« on: January 23, 2004, 21:43 »
I have been checking various sites with a view to purchasing 256 sdram 133mhz 168pin unbuffered dimm and find there is a vast difference in prices. I have heard that there is quality ram and not so good  Does anybody have any advice on this matter.? :)

My advice would always be to use Crucial.com, Lona.  They are not always the absolute cheapest, but you can guarantee quality and compatability.

I'm glad you said that, Simon, as that's the very one I was considering buying from.

I would go with Crucial too if buying on line.
If buying locally, where they would let you take it back and try a different one then it may be worth saving a few pounds, otherwise I would say Crucial everytime  :)
