HP DeskJet 690 C Printer
« on: August 06, 2004, 10:25 »
Another hardware problem today:

I'm trying an old model of HP. "HP DeskJet 690C" printer which is working perfectly in black printing, but no colour at all, (or sometimes a very light shadow of colour).

A neighbour of mine has another one too "HP DeskJet 670C", which has exactly the same problem. The Ink cartridges are all new though. And I cleaned them very well, and fixed them, being sure of their fitting exactly and correctly in their place.

I thought maybe it needs drivers. I couldn't find drivers for XP on the net. But I'm not sure yet that it's drivers problem.

XP recognises it as soon as it's plugged on, and it provides the needed drivers to the model automatically. Inspite of that, it doesn't work correctly. (I mean, no colour).

If someone can find for me drivers for XP for it, I can try it. But not sure of it, as the problem maybe hidden in another matter.

Thanks in advance...
