Second hard disk

Hi all!!!
Got a prob here. I've just bought a Maxtor 120GB 8MB cache HD. The problem is my PC just detect it as 56GB. Is it related to compatibility prob. My mobo is Intel D845WN Pentium 4 with 512SDRAM and I'm running a Win XP Pro OS. Any comment?

There is a way round this, so don't panic, Deino, and I think it involves your BIOS, but unfortunately I can't remember exactly what you have to do, so you'll have to wait for a techie to come along.

Make sure you are running the latest Bios as frequently they include larger hard drive support. Might be that simple.
Sencond file found on that link is the Windows installer version.
Failing that - is the bios or Windows reporting it at that size?
If windows then you might need to go into the disk management from the control panel and check in there.

Technically it did meet the spec.
