has any body on this forum ever heard of python...? no not the snake...

i found it on google and its meant to be alot easier to learn thn c, c++ and java script. i tried learning it but to start with i need a basic understanding of it and couldnt find any one who had heard of it. it kinda confused me as in terms of proggraming and scripting i dont know a thing. :roll:

yes i've been there before. i downloaded some of the stuff the python interpreter an unix shell and stuff, never really understood it but then again i never can be bothered about reading about stuff so prehaps for once in my life i'll try finding info about it my self lol

i have heard off python, i even used it a while back. I can't remember any of it though. I recall that there are some good books for this out there. If you want to learn a programming language then learn c. c is by far the best and languages like python can at times assume that you already are familiar with the concepts of programming. Actually the most simplest language to learn, on a function situation would be fortran but the most common version of this is now 20 years old. I would learn c / c++ . There is a very good book "Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days" by SAMS. It is not quite a 21 days thing but is definitely one you can pick up and put down and come back to it later. If you want any more pointers (hehe, bad c++ joke) or help just say and I can help.

i've heard c++ is hard from a friend of mine, and this book i assume it costs? u see i'm tryin to build another comp ( got me a case earlier today at a computer fair) and i could really do with saving up. ( i only get £15 a week and i use most of it to go sk8in)
