hello..
i got my boradband and xbox live setup and its all working great(i got pipex) but now i have faster net i want to start pc gaming as well as xbox live..

i have
amd 2.4
80 gig hard drive
256mb radeon graphics card
but i only have 256mb ddr ram and it is recommened now that have at least 256mb ram and games can run quite slow(offline) on my pc and i think its my ram.. i want some more ram anyway but i was just wondering how to find the speed of my current ram because theres no point throwing it away when i can have 512 and 256

Yes you may as well add to your current ram rather than discard it PoD

it didnt really say what speed it was but it recommended 184-pin DIMM DDR PC2700

does that mean thats what i need 512mb of 184-pin DIMM DDR PC2700???
i dont no anything about ram apart from its expensive for a kid :roll:

It must just check the mobo PoD, I thought it said it identified your existing ram.
Looks like your mobo has a 333 FSB so 512mb of 184-pin DIMM DDR PC2700 would be correct

Hi, POD.

If you're a bit strapped for cash (and who isn't) you might want to have a look on Ebay. I normally wouldn't touch Ebay with a barge pole, but I have bought some excellent memory from sellers on there at ridiculously cheap prices in the past.

If you see some, but you are wary, refer back and I'm sure somebody will have a look at the link.
