hey
just put my pc together but it isnt working. nothing that i didn expect but when i turn it on it seems ok but the monitor wont turn on. iv tried different graphics cards but i think i mite have the ide cables wrong but it cud be a ram fault?

this is my mobo

and i have a athlon 64 3000+

(iv found a atx 12v slot on the board...could my psu not be powerfull enough?)

Similar symptoms to what's happening to mine too today.

I was able to let it show by pressing the button "RESET".

You may try it too Jon, but it's not the final solution of course.

Hi Jon,
First thing to check is that the jumper for the Clear CMOS is set in the run not the clear position.

You should be able to get it into the BIOS screen even without the IDE cables or floppy connected.
Did you get into BIOS to set everything up initially or just build it and switch on ?
Do you get any beeps at all ?

rite..no beeps with no ides or anything in and no power to the monitor

iv just got the motherboard and cpu today, put it together and this has happened? im not sure if the ram is compatiable or wudnt that matter?

i was reading some reviews of the board and not enough power from the psu could be the answer?

cmos is clear

CMOS should be set to normal or run Jon, that seems like your problem.
If thats in the clear postion then the bios doesnt have any information in it to start your pc up

bought a 400w psu and its fine!!
