Site helps write emails in Chinese
« on: November 02, 2006, 12:51 »
Internet users can without having to take classes in Mandarin, as now there is a website that will do it all for them.

Chinglish is a new bilingual portal that allows you to write emails in either English or Chinese and translate it automatically before sending the email.

The service also includes different mailboxes for English and Chinese contacts, dictionary tools, a thesaurus and a word pronunciation guide.

According to Marius van Bergen, CEO of Chinglish.com, people need a Chinese Input Method Editor (IME) installed on their PC or a Chinese operating system to be able to write in Chinese.

Van Bergen told Web User: "By providing a web-based IME (embedded in Chinglish webmail), we have solved this problem. The service is unique, it is free, and it will remain free."
