No internet connection and DLL error.
« on: March 29, 2007, 12:10 »
I have been trying to get the old Packard Bell working on the internet, something went wrong a few months ago when it was being used to LAN.
When I first turned it on it came up with IPHLPAPI.DLL missing or something along those lines, so we downloaded it and I installed into windows/system. Rebooted and a new error NTDLL.DLL:Rtllpv6AddressToStringA, now I'm stumped?

I first did a smart restore, then reinstalled the D-Link 302G Modem.

Personally I'd like to throw it in the bin, but Michael has a friend coming over who wants to use it. Yes, for Laning. ::)

Any help would be muchly appreciated. :)

Hi

Its certainly a problem with the D-Link Modem and your operating system.  Which version of windows are you using?

Have you looked for an updated driver at D Links Website ?

Let us know.

Hi DJ,

Thanks for your response, the computer is using windows 98'.

I looked at the Australian version of D-Link and it doesn't even have our Modem anymore, I think that sums it up.

After trying for hours to fix it, I let Michael use mine. So the PB is back in the cupboard, where it will stay until I find a home for it.
