cool... but i still reckon that we should encourage new pc owners (and others now I guess) to learn a bit more about their computer and protection

People don't care about protection. All they care about is doing what they need to do when they need to do it. When i ran the shop i had multiple return customers with trashed out computers. People put off little problems for months. Here's an example. The only thing the FBI did was notify a million people that its time to bring their computer to the shop. They're too lazy to learn to fix it themselves.

yep your right thats all they have done... I swear an A4 leaflet with a bit of info would do it - something similar to what we have here

I scanned it with nod32 after avg finished and picked up over 2000 more. The point was, that people will let their problems ride and ride before breaking down and fixing it themselves. If they have the resources they'll pay to make it someone else's problem.
