Right I am going to try that, lets see how I get on with that.

I have just bought this for the media player to try and boost the signal there too....hopefully I won't even need to bring the dlink router down.

It will be interesting to see if that cures it.
I would have thought that boosting the power at the router side for TX would be more important than boosting it at the RX end, although it does go both ways so I suppose it depends whether the problems are caused by the PC not receiving the signal from the router consistantly or the router not receiving the signal from the PC  :dunno:

I think it is a lot to do with where the media player is. Its on the complete opposite side of the house and the aerial from the nic card will be facing the wall....so I think the netgear range device should sort that as it sits slightly away from it.

I will let you know how I get on.
