I can't see the Internet lasting another 15 years in it's present form.  There's just too much spam, fraud and other crime going on, and soon it simply won't be safe to turn on your PC, the way things are going.

Charging 1p per e-mail would at least stop the spam dead in its tracks. I'd happily pay it if it meant avoiding the several dozen junk mails I get per day  :bawl:

The trouble with charging for email is, as I see it anyway, that email originates from around the world, and the majority of spam emails seem to emanate from outside of the UK.  How could a chargeable system be implemented worldwide?
