I haven't bought a PC mag for ages, and that's not one of the ones I used to buy regularly, but all the same, as with any business killed off by this recession...  :rip:

Indeed.  Have to say, I learned a lot from computer mags, not that it shows!  ;D

I gave up on buying mags a couple of years ago. I found they were biased towards their advertisers and the information was often way behind what I could glean from the web.

I gave up buying them because they were getting too expensive, and you seemed to be paying more for the CD of crapware than for the actual magazine.

That too. I think more will fold with the recession.

I still take Computeractive but I really should think about cancelling my subscription since I don't get much time to read it.

wasn't PCW just full of ads too? I occasionally buy a computer mag at a train station but most of the time I flick through them and realise that there is nothing I haven't already seen on the internet or I couldn't find online.

So, the magazine has folded  ;D .

I wonder why?  If it's lack of advertising revenue, what does that tell us about the advertisers?  If it's lack of customers, what's happened to them?  It could just be the journalism didn't meet its readers needs.  I'd like to know more.
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.

I don't really see the point in it these days. If you want to see the newest hardware out there you can do a google news search. You can go to a redistributer's website and get prices and ratings. The information is just so easy to find elsewhere.
