We have now enabled Attachments in posts in the Technical Help & Discussion forums. This will make it a bit easier for members to post screenshots of dialogue boxes, error messages, or other problems, without the requirement of a member's own webspace with which to host the image. File types allowed are gif, jpeg and png, and the maximum single image size is 250Kb, with a maximum of two attachments allowed per post.
We have only made this function available in the Tech forums, because attached files will be periodically deleted as storage space is not infinite.
To use the Attachments function, you must either start a new topic, or reply to an existing topic using the 'Reply' button in posts (not the Quick Reply box). Click 'Additional Options', then click the 'Browse' button, and locate the saved image file on your computer. Click the file, and it should upload and then be present in your post, as can be seen below. Click the Thumbnail to view the image at full size.
We hope you will find this a useful additional feature.
