Not one for the squeamish

Unusually for a pure carnivore like me,I found this article to be quite informative,(on a "Veggie" site of all places)
http://www.farmedanimalaction.co.uk/campaigns/ritualslaughter/
I wonder just how long we will be forced to pander to the outdated barbaric practices of a few religous fanatics before we can once again be able to demand that people act in a civilised and humane way in the UK,without being condemned as racists or xenophobes

Let's not forget the other diners of exotic meats.
Monkeys, lizards, rats and horses, all in the Asian Continent.
Then the African Continent where they will eat anything they can get their hands on and kill it for food.

The point is that they all consider it to be quite normal. I wouldn't like to eat any of those things myself but I can't help wondering whether it is "us" that are abnormal.

I agree Clive: When you consider that in many parts of the world humans consume their food "live" and consider it a great delicacy.

It's a lot closer to home than Manila, Lona. My sister used to have Cantonese neighbours. Every time the ball went over the fence, she had to ask for the dog back.
