XP has a similar feature too Joudi, its really for people who build a lot of pcs and want to preinstall the OS before selling it.
Its not much of a problem for most people to hang around while installing an OS and putting the info in as required.
If you are building a lot of pcs then its wasted time as you can build a pc while sitting there waiting for it to install and watching for when it needs your input  

When you use the auto-install function, what information does it put in?  Or do you have to specify that first?

I've opened the first link Sandra, and felt lost in it. It's too hard for me to understand that technical language. (Anyway, it's not so important to me).
