Absolutely Free
« on: June 24, 2003, 23:32 »
I have just found a free connection between 1am and 8am on http://www.giointernet.com. It will maybe solve my problem of being cut off every night at 1am. Something I have been trying to solve for months ???

£3.99 a month is ideal for a night owl like yourself Lona.   ;D  But you realise that AOL let you stay on as long as you want if you can put up with all its bad points.

Lona if you take a service from Plusnet.com they throw the 1am to 8am shift in for nothing, you could keep Sandra company for longer for free.  ;D

By the way Gio are a right bag of poo IMHO, plus loads of peeps who post on the thread at ISPreview.

I tried Gio once.  Lasted a week.  Constant engaged tones, but could be better during the night hours, I suppose.
Many thanks to all our members, who have made PC Pals such an outstanding success!   :thumb:

I don't think either of you read my post correctly. FREE means no charge. :P

Tony, I know Gio are Poo but at least it's free POO, not the kind of £15 Poo I am experiencing with Onetel :o

I did the same, Greenking.  They don't call us "Canny Scots" for nothing. ;D ;D ;D

Lol, I should have guessed, but as I use the name "chorleydave" everywhere (except for one political site  where I am known as "Killan Empee") I forget that some people use several pseudonyms depending on where they are posting.

I always find it amusing, Lona, that whenever ISPreview ban anyone, they come straight back with a new name and everyone knows who they are.  I don't post there very often these days, but I visit every day and could make a list of people who have done just that!

You little rascal you  ::)  never managed to get chucked of a UK site, but a US one...well they are dead easy ;D

I visited the site and I realised it was free, but I get mine free in anycase. But hey I don't blame you, there are loads of ports idle in the wee small hoors and they will be hoping to tempt you on to a day plan.....support is no-existance so be warned. Mind you when I was with em on a 128K subscription it was fine.....but I was just lucky I reckon.

Hi greenking.  Without even trying, you've just talked me into it.  I'm rarely up after 1am, but if I only was to use it for five hours a month, it saves five hours of my 200 hours a month with Fast24, which I can then use in the daytime.

  :) :) :) :)

Their admins and mods must not be as good as the Pals ones  ;)
Mind you we dont need to ban anyone but I understand that at least one of our admins and one of our mods are banned from at least one forum that I know of :o
