Repairing Windows XP
« on: September 03, 2004, 01:52 »
Have you a problem with Windows XP (blocked, freeze missed or corrupted files), you are not obliged to reinstall everything. The CD-ROM of Windows XP has a functionality to repair the Windows version in your PC.

Start your PC while the Windows CD in the drive. Follow the information displayed. Then, you?ll have to choose one of those two options:

1 - Installation.
2 - Recovery and reparation.

Attention !!!  You must select ?Installation?.

Then, the program will find your Windows version. Then you?ll have the option ?Repair?. Now, you can select it and follow the instructions.

Sorry, I didn't yet try that. So, still to be confirmed

Yes it does work Joudi, theres a thread somewhere on Pals where I put a link to how to do it and the screenshots when someone had a problem  :)

Edited to add that I think you have to reactivate it again afterwards  :)
