Burning ISO using Nero
« on: October 19, 2004, 13:14 »
I am trying to burn a SUSE iso file to a blank cd to create a bootable CD to install SUSE . Every time I try to burn a cd I end up with another copy of the ISO file on the new CD> I have tried Nero and Windows writer , both have the same result .

What am I doing wrong ?

I assume that you have just been burning as make a bootable data disc ?
Use Nero Express then you need to select burn Disc Image or Saved Project, its the bottom option on Nero. The ISO should have the boot information in it.
When the add files window opens it defaults to All Nero Compilations and Images as the file types, use the drop down button to open it up and select image files .nrg .iso and .cue
Then add your ISO file and it should burn ok  :)

I'm guessing you were using "Burn data disc" or "Bootable data disc"?

That doesn't work for burning ISO's. I found that out the hard way...follow Sandra's instructions and you're good to go.

I usually use Alcohol 120%...just because I'm more used to it.
