Number of ethernet devices connected to the DHCP server: 0

Ok we have found the problem  :)

Now we just need to find the solution  :(

You should have the pc you are using showing as connected to the DHCP server as 1 and below that its IP address.
I will have a read through the manual and see if I can suss out why its not showing it.
It may take me a bit to find the answer but I am confident that we will be able to  :)

Ok under LAN configuration can you check and confirm the following please :

DHCP server box ticked

DHCP address pool selection, System Allocated is ticked.

DHCP gateway selection, set to Automatic

Lease Time 1 day

Then if you click on Ethernet Mode settings :

Ethernet Mode: set to Auto Sense.

Did you reboot both the router and the pc after making the changes ?
Did you set the IE connection to never dial a connection, you never asnwered that part from earlier posts ?

Thats strange in itself then  ???

Have you tried running the Diagnostic Test in the router, its almost at the bottom under Admin Privilege ?

That may give some indication as to which part its failing on  :)

Thats not much help then  :(
Theres a miscellaneous section that allows you to put your WAN IP address in, it shouldnt be necessary but as we are struggling it may be worth trying that, have you got a static or at least a sticky dynamic WAN IP that you know of ?
If its a true dynamic one that changes at each connection then it wont be much help but if it is sticky or static at least we should get a connection that way.

On home page of router config it shows nothing for wan.

Ok so that would be why it fails the diagnostic test on the ADSL part.

In your PPP configuration and then the PPP Account Configuration have you got an account name set up ?

Mine has 1  Account name :  simple ppp account 0
Then Username : the one from my ISP

According to the IP showing on your posts they have all been the same so its probably like mine and is a "Sticky Dynamic" one  :)

Wanadoo doesnt have some weird restriction on using none supplied equipment or some ban on routers do they  ???
I dont know how theyd know if you were using a router or not though  :(

Under Status and PPP have you got an * as it says here :

If a * appears under Mode column, you need to check the WAN configuration to make sure the VC has the correct encapsulation.

I am just wondering if Wanadoo use a different form, maybe PPPoA LLC.
Have they got a help line thats not extortionate and available at weekends ?

It has to be something really simple that we are missing but I cant think what  :(

May sound silly but when I plug adsl cable into speedtouch modem its fine yet when I plug it into the router the adsl light flashes is this normal.
