Cluster computing
« on: March 10, 2005, 10:15 »
I have read a number of articles recently on building cluster computers . I do a lot of distributed computing and thought that a cluster would be a good idea  .
Can I set up a controlling node initially and then build clusters of , say , three  nodes at a time or will I need to decide how many nodes I am going to require at the start and build them all together .

I realise that power supply and networking gear will need to accomodate the total number of clusters from the start but will I need to have all the nodes running before I switch on .

Thank You

Hi,

umm firstly surely if you are going to do this you will need a suitably powerful server to run them?
