Topic: Geforce FX Card

Anyone else see the reviews about the new Nvidia Geforce FX card thats shipping next month.
Looks like a nice card but falls short of all hopes to catch ATI Radeon 9700 in image quality/performance ratio. I assume ATI will also send out driver improvements for the 9700
to help make Nvidia's new card look even worse. I wonder if the great Nvidia or ATI will ever
go the way of 3DFX. Oh well. Just want to see what others think.

The 9700 Pro already surpasses the FX but the FX is going to be slightly faster..or course thanks to ATI being the gods they are you can easily overclock the Pro to surpass the new FX <grins>

The New Radeon is going to be a higher rate 9700 Pro so nothing radical there..but again once you have tinkered with it it will floor the Force FX.
Basically NVidia are still going the  Force way by name an nadture..untill they start to optimize there cards they will be be left standing in a market they once ruled... Nvida can no longer just add silicon and hope to keep up..raw power is no longer efficnet now ATI have shown the way forward.
