Google has launched a new customisable version of its toolbar.

Still in beta, the toolbar is only for Internet Explorer at present, but includes a raft of new features, such as customisable buttons, online bookmarks, enhanced search features and new sharing capabilities.

With the customisable button feature, users can run search queries directly on any website, receive alerts, and subscribe to feeds, right from their Toolbar.

There are three ways to add the buttons; by right clicking the search box on any website and selecting "Generate Custom Search", by installing from a Toolbar button offered on one of their favourite websites, or by selecting ready made buttons from Google's new Button Gallery.

Currently, more than 50 buttons are available, including a variety of Custom Buttons for popular websites

The news version of Google Toolbar also lets people create, label and manage bookmarks and save those to their Google Account, making them accessible from any computer.

Don't like toolbars.  Most of them are full of spyware.  :angry:

exactly...and you could just use the little thingies that come as standard part of Firefox....
