AdvertisementInfamous criminal and author Mark "Chopper" Read has his books, movie ... and now his own board game.
Labelled an underworld version of monopoly, Chopper The Game, is the brainchild of a group of Sunshine Coast fans of the Melbourne underworld figure.
The Blowtorch Group, which markets the game, declares it a "ram-raid ride through the Aussie crime world".
Using bullets for pieces, the game starts at the dole office, and players visit brothels, stand over notorious criminals, get busted by police, go to court, go to jail, before finally making their way to Tasmania.
For their sins players also have to go through a shocking form of Russian roulette.
At the roll of the dice, put their fingers in a silver vice - and one of them gets a small electric shock.
"When you get your game, line up the bestest mates, stuff the fridge with stupid amounts of beer, visit the local herbologist and get down, and very, very dirty with the Big Fella himself," the game's website says.
And they recommend players also use Chopper Heavy Beer and Chopper Nuts to sustain during their endeavours.
Read said he was first approached about the game around four years ago.
"I said go away and do your home work and come back to me when you're ready," Read told Channel Ten News.
One of the problems was sorting out the legal issues involved in Read's criminal career.
Read said four years later a contract was signed on a "bit of a toilet roll" and Chopper The Game was born.
"It's no longer illegal what I do these days but it's bloody criminal what I get away with," Read said.
"But I haven't had a penny out of it so far."
The game is on sale online at $79.95.
