I'm thinking of buying one of these, does anyone have any experience with one of these monitors?

Why would it cost more in the "UK"?

Its cos the UK is now known worldwide as rip off Britain.

Anything thats for sale in the rest of the world can cost up to twice as much here, especially if electronics goods or computer related  :(

:( I guess you must have a higher tax rate over there, some things are expensive over here, i went to my local lawnmower shop to
buy an oil pump for my chainsaw but they wanted $45.00 so i managed to get one from the "USA" through ebay for 18.00  :)

not sure its the tax rate alone... just companies feel they can get away with it....  :-\

Viewsonic is pretty good, just get a good warranty in case a lightning storm comes up.

Comes with a 3 year warranty, not a lot of lightning or rain where i live :)
