@ Bob. thanks for the link. have seen a few using that U3 now. What they like? can you take the U3 off?

I don't know. I don't see why not. But the special software is what your paying for when you buy one. If you didn't want the software get a generic stick at the store.

What are the FF forums?

yeah sorry Bob, FF is the forums of the ISP I am with, Firefly Internet, as Simon mentioned. Mohux is there too if I am correct and Simon very nearly joined but managed to escape at the last minute :)

should have mentioned it at the beginning as sometimes people think it  means Firefox.
