Which Hard Drive?
« on: November 11, 2002, 23:41 »
Any suggestions for a good hard disc drive, for someone starting out building their own PC?

Questions, erm I've just done this somewhere ;)

How much have they to spend?
What are they going to use the PC for?
Are they bothered about performance?

Well, I just put this in here to get the category moving, but let's say less than £100, for a general home PC, occasionally used for games, but mainly office type tasks, and Internet.

I would go for an IBM Deskstar 120GXP 80gb 7200rpm ATA100, available from Jungle for less than a ton.
