I just run a speed test on my new adsl connection using

and had some very pleasing results!

Not wanting to spit on your chips, Clive, but those Speed Tests are not always that reliable.  I have found that I can get excellent results, like you did, then try it again later and it's pi$$ poor, but I'd not noticed any deterioration in speed.  I could then go to another speed test site, and get a different result again!  TMIS (Too Much Information Syndrome) is something I am now quite happy to avoid, unless I know I have a problem.

i don't think this test is very reliable  

the first time i tried it i got 55kb out of my isdn line which is poor.

pride does come before a fall so i expect to be off line any day now.
