He was really getting some stick on the Jeremy Vine show this afternoon.  All credit to him for trying, and I hope he wins!

I think it was a dignified exit.  People would have voted for him for the hell of it.  He wouldn't have wanted to win under those circumstances, or spoil the competition for the better dancers.

By the way, I can't stand the programme, and have never watched it.  :ack:

Apparently he was contracted to give a lecture in Panama in about two weeks time.  He had to be off the show by then anyway.
