Tony you are a very hard guy to fathom out but although a Titanic task I would like to sink my teeth into such a topic,there is a veritable sea of options,

I'm now basking in a 4.2 Mb connection but still can't forward rude(ish) attachments.

It may be that they are being blocked by BT or be the recipient server, Clive. Will it send at all, ie have you tried more than one address? Have you tried zipping the file?

Take out the email addresses in the email attachment, but leave the email addresses in the send too ..  hope that explains what I mean.

You can test them on me if you like.  I'm not easily shocked!

Yes, zipping hides all manner of sins, so that could well be worth a try.

The emails won't send to any recipient, not even myself.  I always strip out any  addresses from the incoming email Terry.  I'm beginning suspect there may be a corruption in my Outlook Express and think it may be worth attempting a system restore to see if that might solve it.  I had success with that method earlier today when the toolbar disappeared from the top of OE.  Restoring to 24 hours ago brought it back even though googling for a solution said I would have to edit the registry in order to retrieve it.

Do you have email scanning on with your anti-virus, Clive?  Perhaps try it with it off?  Maybe it's being a bit over zealous?

Failed!  I suppose you are only allowed one successful system restore in a life time and I used mine up this morning.

Thanks for that suggestion Simon.  I use AVG 8.0 but outgoing mail isn't scanned.  I've had a look at the settings and I can't see anything that might cause it.

What about Outlook?  Have you tried with that?
