Yeah, I think they're moving too fast with these version remakes. Personally, I don't see how how any of this matters. I really haven't seen that much change in the last few versions. Just about the only think I saw different with 3.5 was they made my back button smaller, and killed half my addons.

I dont think Firefox is as good as it used to be.

I still use it but find IE just as fast if not faster.

The latest Firefox seems to hang a lot and is less compatible with add-ons.  I agree with Delgado that it is not as good as it once was.  I may switch to Opera or Chrome.
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.

I would recommend Sea Monkey to all those disheartened with the latest version of Firefox.  During the installation, choose Browser Only (you may first need to select Advanced), for just the vanilla browser, or select other components, such as Email, as required.

Yes, I use Seamonkey most of the time, with Opera as a backup.  Before Simon introduced me to Seamonkey I had begun to use Opera again with IE6 as backup because I have found the more recent versions of Firefox to be very flakey.

Is it just me who thinks this or have the boffins at Mozilla abandoned the concept of building a reliable non-gimmicky browser (which Firefox once once) and have become obsessed with trying to show how clever they are?

I think your right Dave, Firefox has become like the Antivirus Programmes of today-full of bloat. I like simple programmes that just work!

That's exactly what SeaMonkey is, DG.  :)

Thanks Simon-will have a go.

I cant quite follow the instructions on download site-do I have to uninstal Mozilla Firefox first? It says something about Sea Monkey might conflict-or have I misread?

I run them both side by side, DG.  Sorry, that link may be confusing.  You don't need to uninstall Firefox first.  Just make sure, if you want the browser only, you select Advanced (or Custom) during the installation, so you can choose the options.  :)

I'd recommend changing to the Modern theme (View > Apply theme), which is much nicer than the default.

Got Sea Monkey running now. Seems to be OK, like all new software, takes a bit of getting used to.

Has not crashed yet!

I dont know if I will keep it as yet-time will tell.
