Does this site still work? I read that M$ had asked them to stop what they were doing. When I go to it now, using Firefox, the download of the add-on utility fails with 'install script not found - 204'.

It has worked for me in the past.

It works on my PC but I get an "application failed to initialize properly" on my wife's PC, both PC's run XP with SP2, so who knows  :dunno:.
The program is no longer being supported.

Sounded like a great idea, but alas I got the same 'install script not found - 204'.  :(

I think it may still work with people who installed the script agent some time ago but I seem to remember reading the M$ had asked the site to stop the facility.

Like Simon I use Windows Update but the windizupdate site was useful.

I just tried this it worked

You will be returned to the WindizUpdate homepage when the plugin is successfully installed. If you are unfamiliar with installing unsigned plugins, you may find the WindizUpdate installation program easier to use.

That part worked for me too, however no updates are found for my computer. I know for a fact that several are needed as I haven't updated since the last MS massive release a week ago.

If I run Windows Update it finds about 13 updates that I will be doing as soon as I have 'Acronissed' my c: drive  :)

As far as I know it does. Certainly a previous Windows Update installed WGA which I believe ensures that my version is correctly licenced before allowing updates.
