More than 130,000 people are campaigning for Gavin and Stacey creators James Corden and Ruth Jones to make another series of the hit BBC comedy via an official Facebook group.
The episode shown on BBC One on New Year's Day was reported to be the last ever.
According to 'The Official Petition for another series of Gavin and Stacey' Facebook page, if the group hits over 500,000 members, the group's creators will contact newspapers, magazines and TV and radio stations.
James Corden said in November: "There will never be another series. Ruth and I are definite about that. As far as specials are concerned, if we had an idea for a story with these characters, then maybe, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon."
Ruth Jones added: "We definitely won't be writing another series. Where would we go with it? It's time to say goodbye to these characters now."
The Facebook group claims to be inspired by the success of the recent Facebook campaign which saw Rage Against The Machine beat The X Factor winner Joe McElderry to Christmas number one.
