I suspect that, one day, we may be faced with that decision, though that still leaves the final mile.

Yesterday I had a mere 104kbs, today it's a staggering 6.3Mb. I've got into the habit of turning my router off overnight to ensure I still have a connection the following morning.

Very strange, Clive. At least, if you resync in the mornings, you have a better chance of a higher speed.

Last week there was no connection until around 9 am but then I started turning the router off each night as an experiment and the connection stayed live, albeit painfully slow. This morning around midday it resynched so I shall watch to see what happens.

It sounds like DLM may have kicked in, Clive, what's your profile?

You need to do a BT test to establish your profile, though, Clive.
