Wonders of the Solar System
« on: March 18, 2010, 09:41 »
I'm surprised there has been nothing said about this on here.

I thought it was very interesting and especially the bit about Saturn's 62 moons, including Titan with it's earth like atmosphere.

The Richard Hammond thing on after it about what we can't see as our eyes are too slow was interesting too.  :nerd:

Me too, and probably won't get round to seeing them for months.  The guy who does the astronomy programme seems very enthusiastic.  :)

They're not a bloody rock band!  No wonder I'd never heard of him!  ;D

In 1989 Cox was a member of the rock band Dare[5] fronted by former Thin Lizzy member Darren Wharton.

Not a rock band. The reason labour on in power - well they helped...

Oh and he's not an astronomer either. He's a particle physicist. We had him talk as part of our evening talks... t'was ok from what people tell me. I organised it but missed it due to being at the 50th anniversary of the Lovell Telescope party.

Glad you had your priorities right Sam.  Was the great man himself there or has he gone to that great space telescope in the sky?   :dunno:
