LG Flatron Monitor L1915S

The green power light goes on for a split second and then goes off,  :dunno:and Monitor does not come on :(
Any ideas please.

I'm sure there will be some other opinions, but have you checked the connections between the PC and the monitor?

Is this a new monitor ?
Is it DVI and VGA and have you switched it to the correct input to match your pcs output ?

Hi All, Checked connections between pc and monitor, no probs.The monitor is VGA and no switch. Have checked card and no problem. Have stripped the monitor down and it looks like a few of the capacitors have leaked. Have taken a few pictures, but don't think I can upload them here. :cry:

No monitor is not new, was made in '05
