Electronic scales never work. I went back to "proper" scales after a week.

Mine seem to work fine. How would I tell if they weren't, anyway?

Is your Actifry still working, Simon?
Incidentally, I found three more sets of scales tonight. Why I need four sets of scales is beyond me, but the cast iron scales are pretty and the digital ones are accurate and the 'weigh and add' scales are useful and... the other set...
...anyone want to buy a second hand set of titchy almost accurate scales?

Yes, the Actifry is still working, Gill, but I don't use it all that often, as want it to last a bit longer than the last one!

Kenwood mixer
Magimix food processor
Toaster
Kettle
Electronic scales
Breadmaker
Microwave

I have lots of frying pans, because I keep burning them. Not overrun with knives, just the necessary.

A knife for every job here, Global, very good blades.
Most of the pans are Le Creuset, with a few of a wedding present set of Prestige filling the gaps. Sue tends to use the chef's pans a lot, the saute pan, a large 30cm fry pan, a couple of smaller ones, a pasta pan and a couple of woks. Dinner parties see the lot in use.

His Lordship has just cleaned our brand new stainless steel sink with a Spontex non-scratch stainless steel scourer. Not for the first time has he found out that the marketing blurb doesn't match reality.

The sink, or the injury?

It's bad
.
I've got some fine wet & dry that I use for woodwork - I'm contemplating using it on the sink to see if I can mitigate the damage.

Sorry to hear that. I'd make a claim against Spontex, take some photos before you go for the repair attempt. If it's a 'satin' finish, the other thing which might work is pumice powder.

There's no point in claiming against Spontex - the sink manufacturers clearly state that such products should not be used.
