Tonight game is probably the best I have ever seen a game at this level?

Leiston 5 - 2 Bognor Regis and the game could have gone either way  :o

Leiston 4 - 1 Grays ..what can I say, that's 20 odd goals in 4 games. now a respectable mid table position.

OMFG!

FA Trophy 2nd Round Replay

Forest Green Rovers 0 - 0 Chorley

Chorley win 3-1 on penalties.

Listened on Radio Gloucestershire, as the three hour journey on a work day wasn't possible.  Played the high flying Conference full timers off their own park.  Could (and according to the commentator should) have had five, with two last ditch clearances off the line and a nailed-on penalty turned down in the dying seconds of normal time.

Chorley goalie, Sam Ashton, who had been a spectator for 120 minutes, then turned hero - saving three of the four penalties Forest Green took in the shoot out.  Went like this:

Chorley miss - Ashton saves:   0-0

Chorley score - Ashton saves: 1-0 Chorley

Chorley score - FGR score:  2-1 Chorley

Chorley score - Ashton saves:  3-1 Chorley

Chorley win 3-1.

Now into last 16 vs another Conference side, Tamworth, who currently are next to bottom of the English "Fifth Division".  More of the same, please.

Magpies keeper Sam Ashton saved three penalties on Tuesday night at Forest Green Rovers to send Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Chorley through to the last 16 of the FA Trophy.

Garry Flitcroft's trophy hunters will fly the flag for the Evo-Stik NPL at Tamworth in the competition's Third Round in January after Ashton's heroics finally separated the sides at the Conference Premier outfit's New Lawn after the replay went all the way to extra-time and penalties without a goal. The battling display in Gloucestershire, described by one Magpies official as 'magnificent', followed the sides' 0-0 stalemate at Victory Park on Saturday.

Chorley picked up £6,000 in prize money for their 3-1 win in the shoot-out and now travel to the Conference Premier's Lambs on Saturday January 11 with a quarter-final berth and another £7,000 in prize money up for grabs.

Chorley 0 - 0 Buxton

Eleven tired players, a wet and heavy pitch and a scrappy game.

Home game today against local rivals Lowestoft weather permitting as heavy rain again over night  :ack:  13:00 KO

If the game does go ahead expecting a gate in excess of 500 today a good money spinner, if not it will just be a boozy day instead.
