The scorer of the only goal Michael Brothers burst clear just after the hour but failed to hit the target. A solid display for the visitors who were missing Neil Calver (suspended), Stuart Boardley (injured), Luke Hammond (injured) and leading scorer Gareth Heath (unavailable) but now need just nine points from as many games for the title.
