A fourth minute goal from Gareth Heath gave Leiston three huge points in South London on Tuesday evening. It was a gutsy display from the Blues to stretch their unbeaten League run to eighteen games
To quote a phrase ‘its good to win ugly’ and this was certainly an ‘ugly’ win but we must not lose sight of how important a win this is. Leiston were resolute throughout with some superb defending against a very lively home side. But to travel to South London midweek and return with three points is a massive achievement from a ninth straight away League win and a third successive clean sheet on our travels
