Chorley 1 - 0 Marine.

Didn't go as it was lashing it down with rain.  Perhaps I should stay away more often!   ;D

Chorley 2 - 3 Whitby Town.

After Wednesday's shock result against third place Marine, it was back to normal today against (were) fourth from bottom Whitby.  One of only four matches played - the rest were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.  We really need some postponements now because, as things stand, we are still in the top half of the table when out real position is about sixteenth if you take into account that teams below us are one, two or three points behind with up to seven games in hand.  This is causing some to rest on laurels which is a dangerous thing to be doing.   >:(

No way was I going to travel 50 miles up the M6 on New Year's Day to watch Chorley take on a team that has lost most of its squad to financial problems and, apparently, is having to depend on local lads from the pub league to put eleven players on the pitch. They say that the table doesn't lie and Kendal Town have just fifteen points from nineteen games this season.  However, they must be even worse than their results suggest:

Kendal Town 1 - 4 Chorley.

Priceless, because if it had gone the other way, they would have only been ten points behind us with six games in hand.  Then I really would have started to worry.  As it is, we look like a mid-table finish now.   :-\

After missing todays game through playing happy families..

Leiston were winning 0 - 1 with 2 minutes on the clock remaining and gave away to a late goal for a draw where on all reports should have been all 3 points.

Hardly seems to matter, after the very sad news that I have just read, but Chorley lost 3-1 at title favourites, Hednesford.
