Well done Dave, out season fizzled out but still managed a respectable 9th place after flirting with relegation.

Thanks, Terry.  :thumb:

Good effort from Leiston to have made the top ten in only the second season at that level.  Hopefully, we'll be meeting up in the Conference Premier soon!

Evo Stik Northern Premier League Play-Off Semi Finals:

FC United of Manchester 1 -2 Ashton United

AFC Fylde 3 - 1 Worksop Town

So the play-off jinx continues to haunt FCUM.  That is four seasons in succession that they have made this stage and failed to progress, including the last three finals.  Their reputation for late winners came back to bite them as, first, Ashton equalised in the 94th minute of normal time - five minutes having been added on for stoppages - and then won the match with the last touch of the match from a corner on 122 minutes.  Fylde, apparently, coasted it.

Final:

AFC Łylde vs Ashton United at Fylde on Saturday.  May the best team win, just as long as it's Ashton.

Yep.  Lowestoft were first out of the blocks and scored after 32 seconds and then dominated for the next fifteen minutes or so.  Chorley gradually took control of the game and equalised with a mass goalmouth scramble - Harry Winter getting the vital touch after what seemed like an age.  A converted penalty by James Dean looked to have secured all three points against a Lowestoft side who seemed happy to settle for a draw, only to be outdone in the third minute of the four added on.

In fairness, the outstanding player was the Lowestoft Keeper who pulled off fantastic saves time and time again to keep his side in it right until the end.

Nevertheless, it did feel like two points lost rather than a point gained at full time.
